Reiki is a Japanese technique that promotes stress relief, relaxation, and holistic healing. It is best known as being a “hands-on” way of healing because the practitioner transfers what’s known as the universal energy from their palms to the body of the patient.
Reiki has many benefits. As a simple, natural method of spiritual healing, balance, and self-improvement, everyone can find some benefits in a session!
Reiki And Life Force Energy
Reiki is a compound of two Japanese words: rei which means “spirit” and ki which means “life force” or “vital energy.” While it is spiritual, it is not a religious action, and Reiki does not oppose any faiths. Founder Mikao Usai promoted the simple principle of living in harmony with one another. The results of a Reiki session will last when clients accept responsibility for their healing and take an active part in it by following this idea.
Reiki works on the belief that an unseen life force energy flows through our bodies. This energy gives us life, but when we are low in it, we are more likely to get sick or feel stress. On the other hand, if it is high, we feel healthier and happier. A trained Reiki master taps into the unlimited supply of energy that flows throughout the universe and transfers it to the patient, balancing their bodies to enhance their quality of life.
Reiki is safe for people to use as a complementary therapy with other medical treatments because it is unobtrusive. In a session, the hands are placed lightly on or over more than 20 areas of the body for several minutes at a time. The hands transfer energy to the patient’s body. The term “healing” refers to regaining harmony and wholeness, and it doesn’t have to be physical. Many people use Reiki sessions to find much-needed stress relief and relaxation!
The Feeling Of Reiki
Reiki practitioners treat the person holistically, both inside and out. Treatments impact the body, mood, mind and spirit, creating feelings of relaxation, well-being, and security. A specific type of Reiki known as Usui Shiki Ryoho addresses the whole person through four Aspects: healing practises, personal development, spiritual discipline and mystic order. These are integral parts of self-improvement, and it emphasizes the patient’s participation in the treatment.
I use the Usui Shiki Ryoho method of hands-on healing and the Usui – Holy Fire III healing system. This clears the entire body and helps open the Chakras, the energy points that connect us to the life force. I work with the 7 and 12 chakra systems to allow your energy to flow freely throughout your body.
For those who want to learn Reiki for themselves, I teach Reiki levels 1, 2, 3a, and 3b under the Usui Shiki Ryoho method. This takes students from the basic principles right through to Master Teacher. I also teach the Holy Fire III system for those who want to work as practitioners or Master Teachers in this system!
